Repairs

Uptown Strings offers a variety of repairs and service on fretted stringed instruments.

The three people doing repairs include Ted, the owner, Tom, our senior instructor and Bill, who worked as the authorized Martin guitar repair technician in the area before he moved out of state. It’s nice to have Bill back in town.

Ted's passion for the design, construction and restoration of fretted stringed instruments is what initially prompted him to start Uptown Strings. His skill as a craftsman, honest assessment of individuals' needs and attention to detail are what customers have come to expect for all of their repair and setup needs.
