Breedlove Battles Economy with Secret Weapons

Breedlove unveiled three Secret Weapons today: The Breedlove Guitar Tour-USA, the Breedlove Festival and a newly expanded Limited Lifetime Warranty.

With only a few dealers per state, the biggest complaint from Breedlove customers is that they have trouble finding Breedlove guitars. Compounding this problem are economic factors making conservative retailers decrease their high quality musical instrument inventory in favor of faster selling lower quality first guitars purchased by Guitar Hero fans and emerging school programs.

“We are reminding our retailers to sell (and consumers to invest in) quality that lasts a lifetime. Nothing feels better than finding the perfect instrument and knowing it will last. Also, online sales are growing but we believe that knowledgeable bricks & mortar dealers are still the foundation of the guitar culture” says President, Peter Newport.

These three Secret Weapons work well together in that Breedlove is bringing guitars to the people across the US and Canada, inviting customers to visit their Bend, Oregon facility and increasing the overall value of Breedlove instruments.
Breedlove Guitar Tour-USA

To support their 500 North American Retailers, two gigantic Breedlove motor coaches complete with traveling show rooms displaying 30-40 beautiful guitars left Bend on Sunday evening. One coach will cover west of the Mississippi working with retailers from the South during the winter months then the North and into Canada in the summer months. The second coach will support the more densely populated East coast.

Four Bendites will be the face of Breedlove this year carrying the Breedlove torch to all of our dealers as well as the top music festivals. Jesse Christensen and Colin Besancon have been building guitars for seven years and are now infusing their dealers with the Breedlove culture. Branden Carpenter, Linfield graduate in Musical Performance Engineering, joins the team after spending the last year in guitar production. Kyle Eggum won a big Breedlove Sales contest last year and moved to Bend hoping to land a job at Breedlove. The team will provide sales promotions, technical training, guitar care, and a slide show showcasing the Breedlove Extraordinary Experience (the guitarist’s vacation, complete with the ultimate souvenir) and tails from the Breedlove Custom Shop in Bend, Oregon.

Breedlove Expands Limited Lifetime Warranty to the Atlas Series

Breedlove and its partners take the time to age the woods properly in a climate controlled facility while utilizing the highest quality materials. Newport explained that their 5 year warranty does not reflect the quality that they put into the instruments or reflect their beliefs in the lifetime value of their customers. “We’ve always believed in under-promising and over-delivering but that humble belief seldom gets communicated and the true lifetime value of the instruments may go unrealized” says Newport. Clients still need to care properly for their wooden instrument but they need to know that Breedlove believes in their work 100%.

All secret weapons combined Breedlove hopes to double their market share in coming years through the support of the Breedlove Guitar Tour, festivals and events, while building more value into the instruments themselves.
