Gary Puckett

When it comes to stringed instruments, you name it and Gary teaches and plays it. Whether it is banjo, mandolin, mountain dulcimer, autoharp, lap steel and slide guitar, Gary plays with great proficiency. His specialty is American Roots and Traditional music and he teaches blues, Irish, Appalachian, bluegrass, old-time, metal and various rock sub-genres. He plays with R. U. Bound, Silver & Spruce, and previously with Bucktown Kickback and Tony Ellis. He has a Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering Technology and has been teaching music for 20 years.

“I taylor my teaching approach to each student. Everyone learns differently and has different aspirations and aptitudes, so I try to teach in a way that will connect with each student.”
